I look at the totality of things Trump has supported and his views over the years, not just the last year when he decided to run for President. The man has no discernable core values. I am a retired AF officer (24 years) who has been a rock-solid conservative my entire life. I can see through Donald Trump like a sheet of glass. The man is not a conservative, nor has he ever been.

You might be surprised to know that I am also extremely angry with the GOP establishment's efforts to upset Donald Trump's chances for the nomination. Despite my personal dislike for Trump, I dislike the GOPe attempts to fiddle with the will of the people even more. As for the GOPe now supporting Cruz in some fashion, I agree that the GOPe's motives are to unseat Trump and they (GOPe) would probably rather have Hillary as President than either Trump or Cruz. Personally, I would hope (may be hoping against hope) that Cruz will be our next President. If Rubio would give up his delegates, and Kasich would drop and give up his delegates, I am confident Cruz would get a majority of those and be more competitive. But both Rubio and Kasich are working with the GOPe to ensure a contested convention. Rubio has no other reason to hold on to his delegates and Kasich knows he doesn't have a snowballs chance at the nomination.

I see all the mud flying about Cruz - I just don't buy into it because I have been watching Cruz closely for a long time and, if nothing else, believe he understands and supports the Constitution I served to protect more so than any other Candidate. But the great thing about this country is we are free to support whomever we want and I'm ok with that.

I was once a Cruz strong Cruz supporter, but it’s clearly evident that Trump is trouncing Cruz where it counts with the base, by millions. The goal is to beat Hillary. The only candidate who can win the general is the base’s choice(Trump) vs the Dem, because the base is the largest group of voters. Cruz and GoPe know a large percentage of those Trump voters are never going to vote for Cruz, or any other candidate.

Cruz may get appointed nominee by ever changing GoPe rules, but Trump is being chosen by the voters. What chance has Cruz of of winning the general when he can’t even win the conservative base. Nuanced thinking and delegate debating here are irrelevant. Elections are simple math.

And this.

Trump beat the stew out of Cruz where it counts, in FL and OH the 2 swing states that always decide the election. Cruz has zero chance of overcoming the 1,000,000 vote deficit to Trump in those states, much less beating Hillary, he’s been done since that Tues, he and the Gope and the Dems know this.

So what do you think they’re doing? All I can surmise is campaigning for Hillary and the status quo. Would like to here other opinions. But don’t say they’re trying to win the WHite House, cause Trump has the heart and soul of the majority of the base, and the numbers.

In the end, for the GoPe this is all about party not the people, and our country, it’s also undeniable Cruz has become just a tool of the GoPe to take Trump out, the same GoPe he railed against over the last couple of years.

And all though most Trump supporters know Trumos a risk, some hope, is better than the disaster 8 years of Hillary bring. Quite frankly, a point of no return.

So yeah, Cruz supporters piss me off. And why I call them the Tools Fools.
