FairTax solves the tariff problem by taxing imports at the point of sale.

There are no "problems" with tariffs. The promote domestic industry. Are you against that?

Yes there are big problems with tariffs. What they promote are weak domestic industries. And yes, I'm against that.

The problem is that America doesn’t get a fair shake in respect o f international trade when tariffs and taxes are taken into account.

“FRee” trade and “fair” trade are not equivalent.
