They ride on horseback and wear armor (of a sort) like from medieval times.
Very sensible.
In an time when gasoline is in short supply, horses(if available ) and even hard plastic type armor makes sense. A good broadsword would make quick work of any zombie OR human!
After the group learned noise attracted zombies, Daryl riding a motorcyle didn't made sense.
While easier on the gas, it could be heard miles away and give away your position to both zombies AND humans!
Of course Daryl peddling away from a horde would never look as cool as him charging to the rescue!

Or have they? Hmmmmmmm.
Rick, Choral, Michonne, Maggie, Glenn, Carol, Morgan and Darryl have been on the TTD couch virtually every single season if not once then several times each season..........
While I respect your opinion, an appearance on the TTD couch amounts to nothing other than wild, unsubstantiated conspiracies.........

Well, the ending was a big Screw You to the audience, but I already like Negan better that Rick.
I did too!
He, for better or worse would most likely to the no nonsense leader who would rise from the ashes of an apocalyptic scenario.
Charismatic, strong and a leader men could follow.
Negan would never have the psychological breakdowns like Rick did after Lori died.
He might say to her apparition, "B*tch, get down here,"Lucille wants to chat"

Here is the link to the slowed down audio of Negans Beatdown!
I've listened to the audio a few times and there is nothing in there that I heard that identifies any recognizable screams of anyone's name........

type of post apocalypse leader we need to try and eliminate hordes of walkers?

Nothing other than wild, unsubstantiated conspiracies?
That's a bit much(I'd save language that for the moon landing, JFK assassination discussions)but if you watched WD and TD from the start, it's not "a wild, unsubstantiated conspiracies"
Around season two(IIRC) when major characters died, the actors portraying them had a tendency to appear on Talking Dead. Heck, even the host, Chris Hardwick, had joked about it.
It was not a hard or die-cast rule but it was enough to make diehard fans go "Hmmmmmmm"
So "Lighten up Francis" It's a show!

Distasteful but if the size of his group was any indication of Negan's leadership qualities, it's better than Rick's.(let the flame war begin(ducking)

***SPOILERS...sort of***
They are part of The Kingdom. According to the comic book, they are in a school in the Washington DC area.
In the comic, Rick and somebody named Paul convince Hilltop, The Kingdom and Alexandria to join forces to fight Negan and the Saviors.
Before they can attack the Saviors, Negan attacks Alexandria, burning/bombing it to kingdom come (heh, heh, see what I did there?)
Anyway, the homeless Alexandria-ites and the Kingdom gather in Hilltop to make a giant army and fight and defeat Negan and the Saviors.
TAKE THIS WITH A GIANT GRAIN OF SALT...the comic and show are different in many, many ways, but I think we can take from this is that The Kingdom are good guys.

They’d usually show up as a “surprise cast member”, but that doesn’t always mean they’ve died, either.

Paul’s nickname is “Jesus”.

Lucille is badass
My zombie apocalypse weapon of choice would be a garden weasel
Altho I like this one too
To: RedMonqey
Most of Negans group “work” for him and didn’t necessarily join his group voluntarily. Big difference. Rule by force compared to willing loyalty...

Dear IrishGuy,
All is well. Three of our children survived, two fine, strapping boys and a beautiful girl. All 3 are bright, good looking, healthy, devout, and truly well behaved kids.
My husband and I are richly blessed. Moreover, I know that in our Father's world, I will get to see the babies I didn't get to hold in this world.
Love your screen name! Miss Irish America of Nassau Suffolk and Queens 1990 here.
Rath De' ort :)

True, they don't always die(main characters)
IIRC the actors tend to appear on TD when their characters are first introduced, when an noteworthy situation occurs and when their character is killed off.
Not a fast rule, but noticeable.

So "Lighten up Francis" It's a show!
I make an honest contribution of my own observations regarding TTD and you yell at me to lighten up?
Would you rather I and everyone else around here just ignore you?........Sheesh, what's your problem?
To: Envisioning
Most of Negans group work for him and didnt necessarily join his group voluntarily.
This is his(Negan's) leadership style.
Whether by love or fear,Negan's group can be said to be more successful(at least as long as the story will allow) than all the other groups Rick has encountered.
If one is allowed to compare to the real world, I'd say the Nazis. Assembling like minded individuals, compelling the indecisive to act affirmatively(in THEIR viewpoint), and eliminating any opposition. Successful at organization and setting and accomplishing goals(however satanic)
Of course we all know how the Nazis story ended. And no doubt the same will be with Negan's(good guys always win in the end.)
The question is, who will survive in the end!

Yes, did you notice what happened to Dwight's face after his first encounter with Daryl?
