So, NE has attacked every R nominee in print running close to or ahead of Trump for a year but never an attack on Mr. Trump. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence. Your belief may differ.

This “thing” story apparently has been shopped around for some time, allegedly by persons associated with Rubio. What doesn’t anyone investigate that? Why is Cruz silent on that? Because it doesn’t support his narrative.
