He had a chance to support the First amendment but preferred to blame Trump and his followers (implicitly) for having their constitutional rights abrogated by the neo-Brownshirts.

He could have come out of it smelling like a rose rather than stinking like dog crap, Rubio and Kasich.

His statement attempted some sort of MORAL equivalence. “Well they really shouldn’t have beaten people but Donald’s attitude/statements/atmosphere provoked them.” TOTALLY pathetic and inexcusable.

Had he not done that he probably would have won Missouri and his campaign not on its last legs.

I see. Attributing the responsibility for the acts of the street protesters to the street protesters was not enough for you. Short of ranting from a high place with fireballs and lightning bolts and screaming unprintable epithets, you would assert he had "joined them". Gotcha. IOW, you were going to lump anyone with the Soros Communists who wasn't shoulders deep in performing puckering proctology on Trump.

Why can't so many Trump supporters see that the actions of supporters of a candidate are the ones set by the demeanor of the candidate, which was the second part of the discussion, or do you prefer the boost that raw hatred, (founded or not) gives you? Is that the new 'high' in America?

It's self-consuming, FRiend, if those who disagree with you are living in your head rent-free.
