And that will finish off Sea World.
I bet the real estate Sea World sits on in Mission Bay SD is worth a bundle. Better off closing the park and re-developing it.
The hair-on-fire leftists score another victory.
We only went to Sea World ONLY because of the killer whales. The word killer’ was nothing to us violence disensitized kids back then.
We went to Fiesta Texas in San Antonio three years ago. Felt like we were in Mexico. What is it with Mexicans wearing their street clothes in the swimming pool? Place was jammed and we were one of the few English speaking families there. Crap strewn all over the place. Now this issue with Sea World, no more elephants at the circus.
There is no place to take my grandchildren any more that is fun, safe and familiar.
We’d still go if they didn’t have a killer whale show — I like their dolphin show better anyhow. I know the killer whales are the big draw, but I hope this doesn’t finish off Sea World.
The irony, of course, is that Sea World does a ton of excellent conservation work, while the idiots protesting them are NOT acting in the best interests of orcas. You can’t just release an orca into the wild and expect it to have a happy life — no one yet has figured out how to release an orca into the wild and have it even live for very long, let alone thrive.
But the idiot protesters are convinced Sea World is all evil, all the time for refusing to do something that will most likely doom the orcas. Sea World hasn’t been involved in capturing orcas in decades; in that sense they’re on the same page as the protesters. Where they differ is that Sea World recognizes their responsibility to the critters who’ve been hanging out with humans for decades and don’t have a wild life to return to, while the protesters just want to fling the whales out and pretend it all never happened.
