My understanding is that:
1. The new law doesn't "heavily regulate" anything. It just holds abortion clinics to the same standards as other outpatient surgery clinics. (personally I am amazed that this didn't exist already)
2. The standards at abortion clinics were so poor, that all but one was put out of business. (my understanding is that some clinics, but not all, have made the changes to come back on line)
3. The clinics could have chosen to remain in business, continuing to provide birth control, counseling, etc for women. As these are what is trumpeted about the clinics, again, I'm amazed that they chose to shut down. That they did, says to me it's really only about abortion, after all.
These are all things that I've picked up here and there on FR, and never on the MSM. Keeping them in mind, who has women's best interests at heart?

The Vet you take your dog and cat to is held to higher standards than abortion clinics.
