“They are social, religious conservatives and they are rejecting Kashich but going for Cruz. “
Why shouldn’t they. Weren’t they previously Huckabee/Santorum voters?
Although Trump is not anti-social conservatism he’s clearly not as pro-social conservatism as Cruz.
Because in Central Florida approximately 60% (absentee & early vote) have already voted
There has been a steady strem of voters at my precinct today, however.
Trump told us to vote early......at the rally....
....and you know what.....we did!
We went home and voted!!!!
Early voting started the day of his rally, March 5th
I dropped off my ballot on the second day they were taking them. There was a short line of cars already that day waiting to drop their ballots into the outside box. I’ve never seen that before. I think a lot of people voted early. I drive by the local elections office regularly and there always seemed to be someone dropping off a ballot.
I’m in Pinellas County, FL.
South Central Florida. I voted at 10:45 am. My precinct has a little over 700 registered voters. The five minutes I was there I counted 15 people coming and going. Past elections the count was 4 or 5. Interesting that their were no supporters outside holding signs. There were three Trump signs. No other candidate signs were displayed.
Interesting observation: Monday night I was at the local Republican Headquarters and was surprised, for the first time to see much Cruz material. It must have just arrived because the wrapping was still laying on the table.
I volunteer every Monday so I have the opportunity to note the activity (or lack of activity)of candidates organization pertaining to campaign material.
In OH Trump is going up against a sitting governor and a false conservative with top cover from the “conservative” media. That is a tough tag team battle there for Trump to win.
I’m hoping that’s true.
Even Rush is telling them the only way to help Cruz in Ohio is to vote for Trump and get rid of Kasich and Rubio.
I don’t.
Not sure why you think that.
Missouri is voting today as well. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the rural Missouri areas go to Cruz, there is a very large segment of the population that is very pro-life and what I hear from most of them is that no way no-how do they trust Trump at all.
I went at 8 AM and there was one lady who went in before me, and one came in after me when I left. Very light in comparison to my past experience at this polling place, although there was only ONE item on the ballot, so it’s not like it takes long to vote.
I don’t see that. If I’m Cruz, I NEED Kasich to win OH.
Our polling location is usually a quick in and out. Same today. Fewer people, but there was only a vote for republican presidential candidate. Didn’t have to spend more than 5 seconds to color in circle and then feed in machine. Only 2 Rubio signs on the way to poll. No one in parking lot telling me who to vote for. Had 5 poll watchers tell me to make sure I had my ID out to not hold up the line. I made a drastic gesture at the fourth person, looking behind me and asking where was the line? Then stood for 5 minutes while the old woman checking me in couldn’t get her machine to cooperate. She apologized constantly. I told her not to worry about it, just don’t give me the wrong ballot. We all laughed. And by all, I mean me, the old woman and 5 other poll workers. No one else there.
Oh, yes, I voted for Trump. I was a little on the fence last night, but the constant voice of republican candidates bashing Trump and not the liberal rioters or the media who spin it made me realize that Hillary will be throwing a lot of crap at the republican nominee with the help of the media and we need someone who will at least fight back and knows how to work the media. If Rubio had blasted the media and the rioters and Obama/Hillary as much as he blasted Trump, I might have given him a pity vote.
Just voted at a small precinct in west central Florida. Poll worker said its been steady and she was surprised there have been so many people voting today because of the early voting and absentee votes.
The cue for Ohio voters to vote against John Kasich for POTUS Nominee was the appearance of weak & failed, Mitt “The CNN Candy Crowley Punching Bag” Romney!!! What voter in Ohio of sound mind and body would vote for Kasich, the GOP Establishment Clone for POTUS nominee!! Bad move....dummy, Kasich!!!
You’re supporting Trump right?
So I had to stand in line this morning to vote in Chauncey Ohio .Unusual for a primary.I personally saw 10 people switch to republican from democrat.3 of them said they were life long democrats but they wanted to make America Great Again.they looked to be at least in thier 80s.Go TRUMP ! I distrusTED and Kasich is Mitts BFF.This Low Information Voter voted for Trump!
Rush says that will just serve to divide Cruz’s vote.
I want a head-to-head with Cruz. I think Trump will win it.
But, I do agree it is Cruz’s only hope.
“My wife and I first vote was to George H W Bush. Yuk!”
My first was Ronald The Great. 8-)
Of course I am.
