Many people supported and defended Bill Clinton for his actions with Monica Lewinsky, not because they really thought what he did was acceptable, but because they wanted permission to misbehave without consequences.

Many center-right people, even some fully-right people, have been wanting permission to beat up those who disagree with them, either physically or verbally or in writing, for a long time, and Trump seems to be giving them permission to do so.

All that is lacking to set this catastrophe in motion is some, “know it all”, “is it all”, “can do it all” megalomaniac to come stumbling into office behind Obama, so drunk on his/her own inflated image of self, they set Obama’s booby trap of global destruction in motion with almost every move they make. It is literately that bad. These are the most dangerous times in modern history.
