sure. he’s a lifelong liberal. I’m supremely confident that he will govern as one. I don’t need to know any more than that.
John, try to understand. “Democrat”, “Republican,” even “liberal” and “conservative” are nothing more than punch-lines for elite in Washington. I apologize to anyone here who heard this before, but the Republican primary in my home state perfectly exemplifies this claim. In our first primary the incumbent Thad Cochran, who refused to debate or even have anything approaching an open press conference, came in second to Chris McDaniel. After that the accusations of “racism” from people associated with the Cochran camp began, Democrat ads telling others to vote for Cochran, ads reminding voters of all the free things Cochran had provided that would disappear if his opponent won, and finally calling upon Democrat voters to cast ballots for him, ideological purity be damned. As anyone can see, the line separating Democrat and Republican gets erased in a hurry when political survival is on the line. Can anyone deny the tactics Cochran used are right out of the Democrat playbook? Did anyone in the RNC even comment re: how Mr. Cochran secured his victory? Qui tacet consentit.
If you want to believe that those in Washington hold as true to their political beliefs as you do, so be it. I’m not smart enough to make you see the truth when you see evidence all around you. Enjoy your bliss...
BTW, would you grab the life preserver or first ask the one who threw it how he votes?
