Reagan was using humor to console his wife, of course.

I am just saying, after watching the video several times that Trump’s instinct was to turn toward the threat, not to drop to the ground. Maybe that is what the security professionals would advise, I don’t know. But I do know the instinctive reactions of a leader when I see them.

Wrong, he naturally pivots to get a visual while bending his knees to get down on the ground if need be. He sees it is under control so no need to get ground level. He uses the podium to pull back up which causes it to sway and takes a half step forward to regain his balance.

Perfect reaction. He was well trained.

There was no charging the protestor, there was no stupid he-man WWE wrestling about to take place.

Like I said earlier, Trump has one job that supersedes all other jobs when presented with a threat. To get down and make the security men's job as easy as possible. He was doing that.

Notice in the screenshot I took the background height. One can tell via the lines of plane in the background. Trump pivoted and dropped his height via his knees and head.
