Short, pithy and stupid

More name calling and mind reading from the anti-Trump crowd. Which I like, because it sets the rules.

Since you recommend we call her a stupid bitch, which I suspect is a projection on your part, I'll go watch the video. For the first time.

I have a special feeling for the word "stupid", which you use twice, and you and the people like you ... seems like it's your entire argument. The Times certainly doesn't go a single paragraph with out trying to convince people not to vote for Trump because it would ... make ... them ... stupid.

Here's the thing, Haiku, I grew up in an emotionally abusive family. "Stupid" was the key word coming at me all the time, from my mother, my brothers. My brothers would often gang up this way. Never would they say this to my face if it was just one on one. However, if it was the two of them, or behind my back, they let it fly all the time.

That's fine and all, sticks and stones and all that, however, when you get to the bottom of what's in the hearts of the people who repeatedly use that term, or it's synonyms, what you find is deeply unhappy, jealous ... very very very small people, cowards.

I invite you to my home any time to talk to me one on one this way.

I can't quite figure out whether I should have put an end to it, which I could have - I was stronger and smarter, or whether the restraint I showed benefitted me or hurt me in the long run ... or whether it benefitted them.

But I know this ... those who's theme is you're stupid ... it's not just political name calling, which in itself isn't that bad. "You're stupid" says 1000 times more about the person who uses it. It's a special form a code word about the user.

So today, I hope you'll reflect on what it is about you, that needs to call people stupid. Probably you aren't stupid intellectually, but you were treated that way, are probably still treated that way by the people around you. You have an inferiority complex, totally uncomfortable with being wrong which is why you cling to a position long past it's life, or you cling to a position that is correct but irrelevant.

I'm glad I made it past the emotional abuse and never turned out to be like them. Ultimately, I walked away from the family - not out of a great 'F U' but simply because it was noxious - the present and the memories of it.

With them, it had gotten under my skin at an age when I didn't have a defense against - I didn't realize that for sure, it was more about them then me - in fact had nothing to do with me. So, the memories of how it was growing up with them remain - even if none of those words or gang up sessions would affect me now.

I hope when you reflect, you'll have the courage to see the deep smallness in yourself that has nothing to do with this election, and when you see it, grab it by the neck and rip it out of yourself, however long it takes, however humble you have to be. It's a miserable way to live, and while your version of it may be too impotent to actually hurt anyone, other than the young people around you, you will be dead soon - anywhere from 20 to 80 yeas in your case I imagine.

You only get one life. Running around calling people stupid and pointing out their flaws ... if that's really all you can do, your primary skill for self fulfillment ... if you reflect - it's quite pitiful - and I use the word 'pitiful' not as an insult to you, but merely as an identification of a condition, which you can take as good or bad. I hope you'll take it as bad - but not in the moral sense, and therefore something to be removed, rather than something to further hate yourself for.

I'm not going to proofread all that, there are probably errors and better ways I could have said something, but I think you get the point. You can do better than ... what you're doing.
