He was busted on weapons charges in his own home? Is there a law against having firearms in Nevada, or is it the fact that there was meth there as well?

Not sure I understand why celebrities don’t clean up their acts once they hit the mainstream. You’re on everyone’s radar. Why give the law reason to bust down your door?

This guy was never supposed to be a celebrity. He was supposed to be a guy working in a pawn shop his entire life. Which is fine.

But overnight he got money and fame and access to women. Bad combo for a guy like him.

Have meth in a home? It is illegal in every state to have a firearm in the home when the occupant also has illegal drugs.
The cops apparently had a warrant to seize evidence related to a sex assault Crime. Generally, other illegal contraband found during the course of the search and scope of areas listed in a valid warrant are fair game.

Just guessing, but it is probably the presence of illegal drugs that made the weapon an issue. Possession of a firearm while committing a felony is almost always a crime in itself, even if the weapon is not being actively used as part of the original crime.

Clark county used to have registration, but that was overturned last year. I am guessing it would either be due to a past criminal history or having drugs and a weapon.

Evidently, he is a prohibited person, though I’m not sure why.

Maybe it was an illegal firearm. There are such things, even in Nevada.

If you have guns + drugs, you are in trouble.

If you have guns + a lot of drugs, you are in a lot of trouble.

Pretty sure that once you’ve got X amount of drugs in possession any weapons in association with them carry their own charge. Might be weak in this case, but prosecutors like to throw the bucket so to speak, some of it will stick.

That’s assuming there isn’t some sort of reality show shenanigans going on...
