The 1999 movie “Strange Days” is about a police state celebrating New Year’s Eve, 1999.
In the movie, a recording is discovered and shown to the public of police gunning down an unarmed rapper.
The world is set ablaze with revolution - but not before final curtain on the movie, leaving us to guess what happens next.
Here we have a completely innocent man gunned by police on camera. The world doesn’t care even slightly.
Pulses aren’t even raised. We call out for justice, but justice isn’t even on the menu or on the schedule.
There will be no justice here. There will be no revolution. Evil triumphs over good.
From Jeannette Finicum’s statement today, “My lawyers believe we can show that was not their goal because there is no better evidence of their intent than their actions.”
I think this is key, we can tell what their goal was by their actions. They planned and executed an ambush, pretty clear what they had for a goal.
We’d have to riot and burn down businesses for them to pay attention.
