The one thing I found interesting in this show was before it was being shown in the USA, the most evil conniving character was a gay lower level house male employee. When the show started gaining fans in America the Brits were in to about season 3... I could not believe they were showing such a negative view of a homosexual character on American tv.. Suddenly the reformation began ... the evil scum becomes a societal victim... and then finally the TOP BUTLER in the house ! I guess the PC factor finally caught up with the writers....
