Trump’s number was 356. That number would never have been called to be drafted.

Why wouldn’t that number be called to be drafted?

It was too high. My brother also had a high lottery number, thank God.

You don’t understand Draft Lottery Numbers, do you?

In order for him to be drafted with that number, essentially every eligible man in the entire country in that “year group” would have been drafted.

thanks. The highest number drafted in 1969 was 195.
Trump was 356.

The first draft lottery included everyone between 18 and 26 who had previously not been drafted. Subsequent lotteries only applied to 18 year olds. The first pool was significantly larger than any other.
