What I see on cable a lot is low commercial load for the first half hour to get you hooked on the show, then high load for the next hour or more. Having a DVR, though, means not having to watch many commercials.

This is why I never watch a TV show directly. I DVR and then skip over commercials.

For SOME shows and movies on cable, they've ELIMINATED the DVR fast-forward option.

I was watching "How To Train Your Dragon" the other day with my son, and this feature was engaged.

Let me say: Grrrr....

And the commercials which we couldn't FF through were all the same. For the same car.

Over and over again.

Do they really think that kids are looking to buy a car?

It ruins the viewing experience.
