actual space flight which ended in 1972 with Apollo 17.
So you don't consider 30 years of the Space Shuttle program "space flight?"
I don't know specifically about the "nightmare Nixon created in the western states" but on the whole, I still contend the EPA did more good than bad, at least through the early years.
When was the last time Lake Erie caught fire?

No LEO is not considered manned space flight - except in the most limited sense. Those shuttle flights were pointless and a joke. The best vehicles were specifically killed as they could have had dual use LEO and NEO. Nuclear powered vehicles were also killed, along with the first attempts to have real inner-solar and interstellar vehicles.

That you are totally ignorant of the Second American Civil War - complete with deaths, mayhem, riots, and unlawful imprisonments, just shows how little most Americans know of their country’s recent history.

Regardless, it is not the Federal Governments job to make laws regarding the environment or private property. You folks should have cleaned up Erie and Cuyahoga River yourselves, instead of waiting for the Feds.

Contend but the preponderance of the EPA’s actions took place in the West - where the Fed always tries out new powers and new reaches before bringing them inland.
