I would take the word of geology professionals over anything that grifter claimed.

Hey, have you ever seen any info on the water table of the Jeezah Plateau——in the Al-Jizah Governate-— in the area around the pyramids and Sphinx? I have never found any. Always wondered how deep the water is and how conducive to natural caves the sub surface topography is.

Since that little creek is flowing past a short distance away there ought to be a bit of moisture. ;<}

There's a water table that rises and falls with the Nile level. That symbolic 'tomb of Osiris' discovered and excavated about ten years ago has to be keep pumped out, for example. And one of the supposed Old Kingdom temples usually has water standing.

OTOH, the unfinished chamber in the bedrock under the Great Pyramid doesn’t appear to ever get wet.

There’s a robber’s hole that was dug into the length of the Sphinx, possibly ancient, possibly medieval muzzie. One branch works its way up into the head, the other one dead-ends somewhere near or under its ‘base’. No water.

Campbell’s Tomb is right behind the Sphinx — pit tomb, deep, no water.

There’s some imaginary tunnels and such in these diagrams:

The 4th dynasty chewed a bunch of catacombs down into the plateau, and at one time those were used for tombs for fammily members and public officials. There’s a nice wall painting/bas relief of one of Khufu’s granddaughters, and one of the mummies that was left partially burned by ancient graverobbers. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were water down in the deepest spots.
