Cruz will be the nominee and he will go on to win and become one of the greatest US Presidents we have ever had, right up there with Washington, Lincoln and Reagan.

He will do all this with the support of hardworking, patriotic Americans who believe in Constitutional, limited government and in the 10th Amendment. He will need and he will have the funds made available to him by people who believe in this country and who want to see the 100-year long progressive project unwound and destroyed.

This is a moment for optimism and strength of resolve, not for surrender to more progressive policies, whether of the ‘left’ or the ‘right’. We need to free ourselves from this socialist prison of the mind. We are not trapped in a socialist/progressive continuum. We are a free and sovereign people; let’s stop behaving like slaves.

Come now, don’t you recall the famous debates between Lincoln and Douglas over states’ rights, slavery and who had the longest schlong?

Seriously, if Trump had half wait, he would have accused Rubio of “campaign envy.”

David, there are already signs of Cruz going over to the dark side. It is quite obvious David does not get what is going on with the people in fly over country.

Oh come now. We deserve better. Trump appears to have no filter between his noggin and his mouth.

When he first entered the race, I wuz wow’d by the things he was conveying. Now, the more he speaks, the less respect I have for the guy.

Most of his rhetoric is uncalled for. Not just saying this to support this person or that, but Trump truly breaks down in tirades when confronted...with anything. Tossing about insult after insult...personal insults. It's just distasteful and unbecoming of a commander in chief and president of this nation.

It's just how I see it. I understand many disagree..that's perfectly ok. I can tell ya though, most folks I know are souring on Donald Trump, mainly because of the rude, crass, unprofessional mannerisms. Constantly interrupting and attempting to talk over anyone who asks a question or confronts him.

Eff yourself, because number one: I did not note write the op-ed. David Limbaugh did, and he has a right to his opinion. and number two, In my comment in #1 I said I do not let anyone tell me who I should vote or not vote for. If you are so stupid to let anyone dictate you who you should vote for or not vote for, that is your problem. Not mine.

Ted renounced any claim to Canada citizenship the first time he voted in America!

My comment was directed at his opinion.

So I’m “so stupid”?

Then my comment could also apply to you?

I’m sorry Dave.

I can’t do that.

Not as long as Trump draws breath.

Meaningless formality! He left Canada at 4 years old. The right to Canadian citizenship disappeared when he voted in the US. My sister was dual can/us citizen. She lost the US side when she voted in Canada

So that’s the way Cruz does things? Meaningless?

Why no attacks on the lesser Limbaugh? He’s getting paid for being a water boy for the political establishment. And he’s not even particularly good at it.

In your dreams, David. Respect; but no.

The grave misgivings that I have about the Facepalm of God notwithstanding, what the lesser Limbaugh fails to explain is how Teddy makes it to the White House.

So far Teddy has won a handful of extremely red states. I don”t think anyone seriously expects Texas, or Alaska, or Oklahoma, or Iowa to be in the hitlery column come November. That leave the question begging: what states outside of the deep south and red state west does Teddy win if by some treachery he becomes the nominee? Virginia? Nope, he came in a distant third on Tuesday amongst republicans. Florida? Coming in third there as well. Ohio? Pennsylvania?

The problem that Teddy will always have in this election is that he appeals to a minority of a minority. Happy conservative places like FR aside, the US is not a conservative country. If it were, we wouldn’t be discussing Teddy and Donald Trump: we’d be discussing VP Palin’s candidacy. Teddy has zero ability to appeal to non-conservatives.

Upshot: Teddy has all the electability of Barry Goldwater.
