“IMPLIED??? What are you smoking? There was no implication. Or have you not listened to the voicemails that were sent to Every Single Caucus Location?”

There you go again. Do you tell Goebbels style lies so much that you start to believe them yourself?

You are actually claiming they used the words “drop out” rather than the Cruz camp implying that. And you claim to have heard it with your own ears. Stop lying or show the link.

Here is the link the only two audio files I am aware of:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/04/ted-cruz-voicemails-ben-carson-exclusive-audio/

Keep in mind, these are NOT to the public. They are to campaign staff. It is about breaking news. This was NOT something anyone expected. They used the phrase “leave of absence from the campaign trail” and “suspending campaigning” probably preceded by the word “temporarily” but that word is garbled, so we do not know. This was INTERNAL communication.

The actual words of CNN were “take a break from campaigning” and “he is going to go back to his home” and “he’s not going to go to South Carolina... he’s not going to go to New Hampshire”.

http://www.allenbwest.com/2016/02/ben-carson-accuses-ted-cruz-of-foul-play-in-iowa-this-happens-immediately/

Chris Moody at CNN tweeted: “Carson won’t go to NH/SC, but instead will head home to Florida for some R&R. He’ll be in DC Thursday for the National Prayer Breakfast.” This happened about 15 minutes before the caucusing began.

CNN absolutely misreported this. It was picked up by other news media:

http://www.businessinsider.com/ben-carson-campaign-suspension-iowa-2016-2

Note the time stamp on the above article. It was right in the middle of the Iowa caucus. And look at the text of the link “ben-carson-campaign-suspension”. CNN started this and it snowballed.

CNN said Carson would NOT go to NH or SC. Those were the next stops. Those were the next debates. He did go. Anyone seeing the news feed, the news caption, and the tweet from CNN would rightly wonder if Carson was about to drop out. Why otherwise would a candidate tell the news media they will not be at the next two debates.

But at no time did the Cruz campaign describe his actions as “dropping out” or “withdrawing”. You claim that this was more than inferred. You challenged me for using the word “inferred”. And then you switch your claim to pretend that the word “suspend” is the same thing. You gloss over it as if it is a trivial and insignificant difference. The Cruz campaign did not say Carson dropped out or was withdrawing from the race.

The fact is that the Carson campaign originally admitted that what happened was due to an erroneous media report. Then they changed their story to fit the meme of Cruz lying to explain away his win there. Nonsense. If you are running a competitive race for president and a competitor tells the media they are skipping the next two debates to take a break, that is a big deal that you have an obligation to pass along to those supporting you. But, yes, coming from the Communist News Network, they should have double-checked directly with the Carson campaign, notwithstanding the fact this news happened precisely when the caucus was starting.

Now explain to me how you are impartial and honest about Cruz but give Trump a pass for comparing Carson to a child molester:

“He said that he’s ‘pathological’ and that he’s got, basically, pathological disease...I don’t want a person that’s got pathological disease.”

“If you’re pathological—there’s no cure for that, folks. There’s no cure for that,” Trump said. “If you’re a child molester—a sick puppy—a child molester, there’s no cure for that. There’s only one cure, we don’t want to talk about that cure. That’s the ultimate cure. Well, there’s death, and there’s the other thing.”

Trump’s defense when called on this: “I just quoted his [i.e. Carson’s] book.”

So you think Cruz repeating what CNN said to his campaign staff is horrible, but Trump is the example of morality? You need to hold yourself and your candidate to the same standards you try to apply to me and my preferred candidate.

And, by the way, my support of Cruz does NOT mean I hate Trump or am trying to discredit him. I expect to be voting for Trump in November. I prefer Cruz. And a Trump-Cruz ticket would be good for me. My main reason for defending Cruz is that he stood up to GOPe like tea party conservatives have been trying to make happen for years, and now every johnny-come-lately who doesn’t know any of the history of how he did so, is ready to throw him under the bus in favor of a lifelong liberal who only recently saw the light. I still prefer the lifelong conservative who did what he promised at great personal cost.
