So if folks decide to not support Trump, does that mean they'd prefer to endure another, at least 4 years, of dems in the white house? I suppose those that decide to not rally behind the nominee could always move to Canada with al sharpton. Oh, if his pal hildebeast or bernie were to win, I guess he won't be moving.

Is it more insane than praising the mass murderer Planned Parenthood ?

Is it more Insane than siding with Hillary as a Truther ?

Is it more Insane than a grown man with a comb over ?

Primary movers behind #NeverTrump are Social Conservative

Ronald Reagan has words for the Soc Cons.

“A man who is 75-80% on my side is a valued Friend and Ally, not my enemy”.

Curious Social Conservative,

What in the last 40 years have any GOP President done to stop the ever increasing number of Abortions?

I know this falls on deaf ears at with 100%ers but the fact remains, We are a Constitutional Republic that rests on the notion that the people’s Representatives in Government know how to compromise and negotiate. Your chmaping Cruz's record demonstrates a total inability to actually govern anything.

This notion that Cruz will ride into DC and dictate his 100%er terms to everyone else there is simply wishful thinking.

Really think Clinton, “Cult of Sanger and Abortion”, is going to REDUCE the number of abortions or is she going to do things that will massively increase them?

This “Never Trump” meme is the behavior of petulant children looking to spite everyone because 100% of theri desires were not granted. It has nothing at all to do with anything resembling principals or reason.

Trump is a serious test of where our contemporary politicians are.

Even Obama, in a way, was the same old same old for those people. They wheeled and dealed, just differently.

Trump is going to demand they sit up and pay attention and maybe actually care about something larger than they are (the sizable segment of the people that Trump has organized into a parade). This is closer to their official job description, but it’s intolerable to those who have transformed it into a don’t-rock-the-boat sinecure.

“The Republican Party establishment, which is now in such a panic over Trump’s candidacy, needs to understand one of the reasons Trump is doing so well is that Trump voters don’t feel the Republican establishment listens to them. And by trying to sabotage Trump, they are once again not listening to these folks.”

Cain hits nail on head.

GOPe mindlessly repeats failed actions and expects different results.

Cain is about as common sense a conservative as any. He and Carson could, if they choose, help end this insanity of the GOP colluding with the democrats and using KKK smears to try to demolish Trump as a candidate and as a man

No wonder the GOP establishment is ignoring Clintons probable treasonous misuse of national security intelligence - they plan to vote for her

I’ve always liked Herm.
I hope our next POTUS gives him a cabinet post.

I’m still not a Trump supporter (yes, I will vote for him if...)but I could become one.

The establishment GOP is working a whole lot harder to defeat him than they worked against Obama.

I can see that trying to insert Romney into the mix is asserting that they absolutely don’t want a Republican president.

To the GOP elites, Hillary in the White House is much better than Trump.

They get to spend four years doing nothing but complaining, and keep their positions as the “honorable opposition”.

If Trump truly is a liberal fraud, and governs that way, the GOP gets to oppose him with majorities in the House and Senate, will pad those majorities in the mid terms and will be able to fend off any populist Presidential candidate for a generation.

The danger to the GOP is Trump getting elected and governing as he says he will. They’ll have to spend another thirty years living with the expectations that Trump creates for future GOP candidates.

It’s like Reagan. Every GOP leader has to genuflect before the Reagan legacy, even while they allow open borders and government run health care, huge deficits and all the rest.

Much better for the GOP to have Hillary. No question.

“Vote for whoever we give you” was what the GOP told us for years and years...

I’m a Cruz supporter and will vote for Trump in the general election. At this point it is about a 95% certainty that he will be the Republican nominee.

But I would gladly suffer under four years of Clinton or Sanders if it would rid me of this constant barrage of insults, rancor, animosity, mocking, ridicule, and general nasty behavior that has descended upon Freerepublic.

Yes, there are some Cruz supporters that need to shut it up as well, but I have been told by Trump supporters that they do not want or need Cruz supporters to vote for Trump in the general election, that I am the most liberal poster on Freerepublic, that I am a vile, petty, liar.

Now all of this because I simply do not support Trump in the Primary. And I have been very open about why I do not.

Do you want to know my big sin? Although I like a lot of what he says, I do not have confidence that he will govern guided by conservative principles. Since I believe that Cruz will, I support Cruz over Trump.

For that I have had filthy, vulgar Freepmail sent to me. I have been called delusional and stupid.

Do you think that make me happier or more bitter toward Trump? Do you think I will work harder for him in the general after having been treated that way, or might it make me say “forget it, I took enough of a pummeling in the primaries by the very people I would need to work with now.”?

I have been concerned at level of devotion that the Trump supporters have, where I have seen even stalwart supporters of Trump such as LS and DoughtyOne be eviscerated for not praising Trump enough or even daring to give credit to another candidate for anything.

I have been a member of Freerepublic for 17 years. I have seen 9 election seasons including 4 Presidential elections on this site, and this year is the worst by a factor of 10.

In the past I have seen supporters of Tancredo, Hunter, Thompson, Cain, Gingrich, Huckabee and Santorum brow-beaten and cajoled into abandoning support for their candidate in order to vote for a candidate who can win. Romney and McCain were not spoken of highly here, but even those people who supported them from the beginning were able to post without a constant barrage of venom.

I suspect that the whole #NeverTrump movement has more to do with the behavior of Trumps supporters than with Trump himself. And that behavior could be what causes him to lose in the general election.

Think about the ramifications what you post, or say, and try to be constructive. That’s just good advice for all interactions.

I would support any Republican who wins the nomination.

Trump is not a Republican.
