HE WAS INSTALLED AS SPEAKER BY CRUZ AND THE FREEDOM CAUCUS!!!
There are lots of ties between Cruz and Ryan, with Priebus as the puppet master. Cruz was Boehner’s legal counsel prior to being a senator. Cruz and Ryan teamed up to lobby for TPA/TPP. Cruz set up the Freedom Caucus in the house to further “conservative” goals from the senate as a way to bridge houses.
