The case of Duke was an unsolicited endorsement by Duke that fit nicely into the GOPe Mississippi Strategy to make Trump into a racist. Trump perhaps could have reacted to Todd's setup more deftly, but it was a racist trap that Trump was probably being wary of.
The Mussolini quote was pure liberal MSM entrapment. The website Gawker admitted to planting the quote to fool Trump into retweeting it. Trump did. Would Trump on his own begin quoting Mussolini to win voters?
You decide. I think Limbaugh decided, and chose to let it slide.
