First not so: The Sessions endorsement. It is no doubt disappointing to Cruz that Jeff Sessions has endorsed Donald Trump, but it is certainly no death knell to his campaign. That’s absurd.

Second not so: the so called Rubio endorsement: Cruz merely said that Rubio is preferable to Trump. Duh. Of course Rubio is preferable. Rubio is many not-so-good things, but he isn’t a narcissistic, pompous, authoritarian-minded, thin-skinned braggart, completely lacking the temperament to serve as President.

No, he's worse. He's a globalist.

And even worse than that, he regards the illegal alien invaders and their spawn as people who we somehow owe something to, as a "problem" to be negotiated over, rather than a simple, uncomplicated matter of enforcing laws already on the books.

We will agree to disagree. Sessions is the gold standard on immigration and trade. His endorsement will affect the vote of many conservatives. It is a devastating blow to Cruz who liked to cite Sessions when talking about the Cruz role in the Gang of 8 bill. You don't have the conservative lion endorsing your opponent without consequence, Cruz still does not have a single senator endorsing him.

Cruz merely said that Rubio is preferable to Trump. Duh. Of course Rubio is preferable. Rubio is many not-so-good things, but he isn’t a narcissistic, pompous, authoritarian-minded, thin-skinned braggart, completely lacking the temperament to serve as President.

You will find very few here on FR that support Rubio over Trump. Rubio lied to his constituents when he said he would never support amnesty. He got to Washington and teamed up with Schumer, Durbin, Bennett, Menendez, McCain, Flake, and Graham to propose a bill that would have provided amnesty to 12 to 20 million illegal aliens, tripled legal permanent immigration to 33 million over a decade and doubled the guest worker program to 1.4 million annually. All at a time when we have the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years. Immigrants take jobs from Americans and depress wages. The Gang of 8 bill would have destroyed the country and made the Dems the permanent majority party.

Rubio prevented any amendments to the bill. His treatment of Chris Crane, head of the ICE union of over 7,000 agents, was despicable. Crane's union issued an unprecedented letter of no-confidence in the Obama appointed head of ICE for preventing ICE agents from carrying out their sworn duties. Rubio would not even meet with him and has demeaned him just a few days ago.

So you can support the GOPe Rubio, but so what, Rubio is going to get beat. On March 15 Rubio will lose his home state of FL to Trump. How anyone can support Rubio after what he did is beyond me. Rubio is also very bad on trade issues. He is an empty suit with no real accomplishments save feeding at the public trough his entire working life. We have a first term senator in the WH, we don't need another without any executive experience.
