Can policy papers be trusted more or less than his interviews? Below is a link from July of a transcript of Trump and Hannity talking about it where he says he wants to expedite things so they can come back in. There are other interviews where he’s said it and where his son’s said it. There is also at least one interviews where he said he’d do something for DREAMers who are with their parents in the US.

Yes, I heard that very interview at the time, LIVE. I thought at the time... how shrewd of TRUMP to put it that way.
I had to think about it, when he said it, because the term “expedite” can mean whatever I want it to mean, and whatever you want it to mean.
What it really means is whatever the “process” presentloy allows for, versus what the process will allow for, under TRUMP.
We know there are occasional emergency cases, or mercy cases, but none of us know how or how many of these expedited cases are actually facilitated. I suspect it is through the efforts of our state representatives appealing the case of a citizen, maybe.
