I’m a Trump supporter who would vote for Cruz if he got the nod. What I have found most is that most Trump supporters (not all, but most) actually do support Cruz. In fact, we would have liked to see Trump/Cruz 2016, and Cruz/Carson/Rubio/etc. 2024. However, as has been previously mentioned upthread, once Cruz realized Trump wasn’t going anywhere, he came out swinging. I believe Trump is correct to respond. It really is that simple. Cruz is losing. Rubio is losing, and now they are just getting desperate.
So it was Cruz that came out swinging? When?
Because the evidence shows the opposite - Cruz said something completely benign about how Trump had New York values, which Trump himself had said just a few years ago.
So how did Trump respond? By calling Cruz nasty names, and how no one likes him, and how much of a liar he is. Is Cruz not supposed to respond to these constant attacks on his character?
