If Trump was sent in to destroy the Republican Party infrastructure like its media, its leaders, the ‘conservative’ subculture within it, he’s done a masterful job for the Clinton’s driving up his own negatives in the process to where he looks worse than Hillary is.

Time will tell, but I believe that honor goes to "Ted Cruz for President".
With Ted making his the face of Conservatism and himself its true standard personified, not to mention all other candidates in comparison being simple posers at best or charlatans at worse, "Ted Cruz for President" is what is "destroying" Conservatism.
Conservatism isn't a cult of personality, especially not a cult built around someone as flawed as Canadian-born Ted Cruz.
It's the same old, same old once again this election season, but hopefully we'll get it out of our system early and can get beyond it.

What is so wrong about that? The conservative leadership in the GOP have given Obama every thing he has demanded. I predict they will give him a Supreme Court Judge before the election is over.
Truth is I think they may try to defend against an even worse choice if they lose the Senate and that is not totally unlikely considering how they have caved to Obama at every turn.

This is not an election with a competition between philosophies. You can have a candidate who is as conservative as the Pope is Catholic, and without pragmatic ability, you would be setting us up with another failed President. Look at Zer0. His ideology has got him nothing. That’s why I call him Zer0. His practical ability has shown him to be a feckless, golf playing, worthless, perverse and useless President. Our nation cannot waste another four years on a dummy.
Trump is uniting Americans for the task ahead. Those malcontents get out of the way because we are going to do something, united as Americans.
