It is a good analogy. But the Meadia Deathstar has been damaged, and its power diminished. It is the job of the new media to continue to use truth as a weapon to diminish the power of the Media DeathStar, until it is only one of a constellation of Meadia sources of illumination.
It's still fully operational, even though it's taken damage.
