Kanye West enlisted his famed artist friend George Condo to transform the front of the bag into a one-of-a-kind painting

Kim clearly couldn’t wait to break out the hand-painted tan Hermès leather Birkin bag, which features a nude portrait. The design depicts nude female figures and a bare-chested monster, and Kim paired the interesting bag with a simple ensemble that consisted of tight, ripped white skinny jeans, a comfortable henley, and a camel-colored coat. Before stepping out with the interesting gift she took to Instagram to show it off, posting it with the caption: “#HandPaintedGeorgeCondo #HermesBirkin #OneofOne #ChristmasPresentFromYeezy.”

George Condo is highly regarded in the art world for 30 years and his works have been exhibited all around the world. They can currently be seen at the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art — and now, in Kim’s closet! So, why did Kanye select the painter for the project? Kanye and the artist have been friends for quite some time. In fact, in 2010, the rapper enlisted the NY-based artist to create a series of paintings for his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album — and Condo’s work doesn’t come cheap! Just last year one of his paintings sold at auction for a cool $1.3 million — we could only imagine how much this custom creation cost the rapper. Let’s not forget that the bag alone retails for approximately $16,000 (before 'artist' ruined it).
