I never use GPS. Give me a map any day.
..................................................

You and me both! Reading a map you get a picture in your head and directions, north, east, south, and west. i don’t like GPS. Have used it a few times in Europe. Often tries to send you down the wrong road or tells you to exit the round point at the wrong exit. Only usefulness i can see is in a large city where it is difficult to see street names while driving.

Most map makers include deliberate errors in their maps as a sort of copyright marking or a watermark. Publishers will often infringe on map makers by borrowing published maps rather than create their own from scratch.

Mapsco Maps in Dallas had a street showing as blocked, by our old house in Oak Cliff (now part of Dallas TX). Any other company's map which showed that blockage was considered as theft of Mapsco IP. We only found out when we tried to have it fixed on the maps.

GPS maps have a similar, if not identical, form of copyright protection.
