Scant? You mean from 2001 to 2009. Let’s not forget he contributed to Harry Reid against the Tea Party challenge, to Charles Rangel, Chuck Schumer, and other Democrats. He contributed to RINOs like Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist, and John McCain. His largest contribution to committees went to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. He might say “I’m pro-life” now but I’m certain he was true to himself when he told Tim Russert in that 1999 interview that “I’m very pro-choice” and attributed it to his New York upbringing.
