I just learned, after reading this article, that India has leopards. Never knew.

Same for cheetahs. Maybe they imported them for the rajahs.

Actually, India has a very large population of Leopards. The cats are so numerous in India that the cat is constantly going into towns and cities snatching up dogs and cats. Leopards are beautiful and is my favorite big cat.

They’re just mountain lions with spots is all. I wouldn’t want to go up against either. Mountain lions scare the #&%# out of me and they are all over the United States to the tune of 30,000-40,000??!

There have been over 13,000 deaths due to leopard attacks in India in the last 150 years or so.

Something that’s probably just as interesting - India has lions as well, the Asiatic lion, in one small area called Gir forest.
