In spite of fears to the contary. I thought Lady Gaga not only looked respecable, but she sang the National Anthem with respect. But is s/he the kind of person who would go out the next day and do something just as weird and depraved as this was respectable and conventional? I just can't enjoy such a contrived and artificial performance, if so. Other folks can rave all they want about the audio proper but the source would always weigh on me. Besides, I hear a weird accent.

I didn't see GaGa's performance, but just for the record, Whitney Houston lip-synched to a pre-recorded performance (by her, in fairness).
She also changed the song from 3/4 time to 4/4 time to make it easier to sing.

When she clutched her chest as she turned to the large stars and stripes I was moved. The God Bless America comment was icing on the cake. Well done !
