So just what was in those "top secret" emails that Hillary Clinton received on her personal email server while she was Secretary of State? The New York Times reports what everyone has already figured out: they were about drones. What's more, the question of whether they contain anything that's actually sensitive is mostly just a spat between CIA and State:
[Some of the nation's intelligence agencies raised alarms last spring as the State Department began releasing emails from Hillary Clinton's private server, saying that a number of the messages contained information that should be classified "top secret."]
...
Mostly, though, it seems to be a case of the CIA trying to bully State and win some kind of obscure pissing contest over whether they're sufficiently careful with the nation's secrets.
Release them all. Redact a few sentences here and there if you absolutely have to. It's simply ridiculous to have nebulous but serious charges like these hanging like a cloud over the presidential race with Hillary Clinton unable to defend herself in any way. Release them and let the chips fall where they may.

Those wins in the National Word Parsing Championships were well deserved, LOL.
“Can Obama declassify anything?”
IIRC, yes he can.

EXHIBIT ONE---Hillary/s State Dept Aide Shared Classified Information With Clinton Foundation, Email Shows; Cheryl Mills sent information marked confidential to Clinton Foundation in 2012 / BY Alana Goodman September 28, 2015
A key aide of Hillary Clinton emailed classified information about the government in Congo to a staffer at the Clinton Foundation in 2012, according to a copy of the correspondence obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Cheryl Mills, Clinton/s chief of staff at the State Department, sent the email to the Clinton Foundation/s foreign policy director, Amitabh Desai, on July 12, 2012.
The message, which was originally obtained by the group Citizens United through a public records request, is partially redacted because it includes foreign government information that has been classified Confidential by the State Department......but was not marked classified by the State Department until this past summer, intelligence sources tell the Free Beacon that it would have been classified at the time Mills sent it because foreign government information is considered classified from inception.
The message could add to concerns from congressional and FBI investigators about whether former Secretary Clinton and her aides mishandled classified information while at the State Department.
About half of the forwarded message was redacted due to its classified nature before the State Department released it to Citizens United last month. Although it is not clear what the redacted section includes, the State Department said in a court motion filed last week that it concerns both foreign government information and critical aspects of U.S. foreign relations, including U.S. foreign activities carried out by officials of the U.S. Government.
The State Department added that the disclosure of this information has the potential to damage and inject friction into our bilateral relationship with African countries whose cooperation is important to U.S. national security.
The Clinton Foundation and the State Department did not respond to request for comment about the email, or say whether Desaiâa non-government employee who has worked at the foundation since 2007âwould have been authorized to view âConfidentialâ information.

EXHIBIT TWO Cheryl was also feathering her own nest----Mills currently runs the BlackIvy Group, a consulting firm that focuses on developing dirt-poor Sub-Saharan Africa.
SUB SAHARAN AFRICA / State Dept list
African Union Benin Botswana Burkina Faso Cameroon Congo (Brazzaville) Congo (DRC-Kinshasa) Ethiopia Ghana Guinea Ivory Coast Kenya Lesotho Madagascar Malawi Mauritius Mozambique Namibia Niger Nigeria Rwanda Senegal Sierra Leone South Africa Swaziland Tanzania Togo Uganda Zambia.

EXHIBIT THREE--- Sub Sahara Muslim immigrants are streaming into the US at an unprecedented rate, all subsidized by struggling taxpayers. What do Obama, Cheryl Mills, and Hillary know about this?
============================================
EXHIBIT FOUR--- The State Dept email, which discussed the relationship between the governments in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, was originally drafted by Johnnie Carson, the State Department/s assistant secretary for African affairs, who sent it to Mills State Department email address.
Cheryl Mills later forwarded the full message to the foundation/s operative along with talking points for ex-President Clinton shortly before Bill Clinton was scheduled to visit the Congo region.
The head of a Canadian company with an enormous interest in the Congo's mining and oil sector, Lukas Lundin of Lundin Mining, announced a $100 million donation to the Clinton Foundation on the heels of Hillary/'s first presidential campaign.
After the Congolese government attempted to regain control of its own mines, the State Department intervened on behalf of Lundin Mining and another mining company, Freeport Mines, also a Clinton foundation donor.
A round of talks in 2010, thought to be aided by the Clinton State Department, concluded with the pair of well-connected companies retaining their stakes in the mines and with the Congolese government being shut out of its own resources. (hat tip Schweizer book---Clinton Cash)
MORAL OF THE STORY When Hillary smells money, she will flout the law to suck-up to Clnton Foundation donors....particularly w/ financial stakes in the lucrative oil/mineral mining industry.
I like it, but the ignorant kids won’t get the joke.
Other sources have already revealed that there was more than drones, that was Top Secret and compartmented Special Access Programs.
- Operational covert human sources, which put the lives of those assets at risk.
- Foreign intelligence (at least from France).
- Nuclear weapons strategic information, on movements of North Korean weapons.
- Talent Keyhole spy satellite information, including imagery, which would reveal technical capability.
- National Command Authority deliberations were most likely also spilled.
Any one of those should send people to jail.
The fact that they took deliberate steps to set up an alternative system outside of the protected system, demonstrates pre-meditated intent and collusion/conspiracy.
Don’t think so at the SAP level.
Of course, these clowns still think cell phones have little strings between them.
Hey Mother Jones, talk about things you understand...like....er......uh.....
Scooter Libby, what say you?
Also, 0bama and Hillary prolly fed classified info to unsuspecting congressmen, who are now exposed to blackmail!
They protect Hillary to protect themselves
No. Thats the only information Cankles was selling to the highest bidder.
Real time tactical intelligence is the cherry on top.
Well of course, any thing to do with national security from the NYSlimes by way of Mom J is absolutely truthful and 100% reliable - they wouldn’t have some left wing agenda - no, never ... I fervently believe everything they say is the G-d’s honest truth and I subscribe to both ... some one must or these puff pieces would never be read.
Feel the Bern! ... Well, you feel him, not my thing ...
Yes. He can declassify anything in the executive branch.
No all his records are sealed for a reason his handlers have trained him well.
You are correct, but this is a classic ploy of the Clintons. Isolate the problem to something their base does not like (drones) or care about (immoral sex) and fight aggressively.
She was largely avoiding the issue in the hopes it would fade away, but it has not and she is asked more and more about it so they are about to change strategies to something more aggressive. Watch and see.
“So just what was in those “top secret” emails that Hillary Clinton received on her personal email server while she was Secretary of State? The New York Times reports what everyone has already figured out: they were about drones.”
Looks like Hillary is doubling down in releasing top secret info by providing the content of the subject e mails to the Democrat house organ - the NY Times. The Times figured nothing out other than reading the top secret e mails that Hillary’s associates sent them so they could write a story marginalizing Hillary’s illicit activities.
I have no interest in the story about “classified” material. It’s probably all bullsh*t, and what isn’t BS are minor technical violations. No major political figure is going to be prosecuted for violating rule 84709, paragraph 6, subpart 45.2. Get over it.
Now, the CONTENT of all these concealed, hidden, “wiped” emails, on the other hand - THAT is very interesting.
I’m sure the email “server” was created so the Clinton Crime Family could conduct business as usual while Mama Clinton was Secretary of State. You don’t need 150 FBI agents to detect an obvious breaking of some rule.
You DO need 150 agents to unravel a decade or more of bribery, tax evasion, money laundering, and espionage. THAT’S what’s important about those emails.
Forget the “classified” story. That’s a big nothing.
You have to read between the lines when the press reports intelligence issues, and sometimes even that isn’t enough to figure out the full import of the underlying story. Often an issue is addressed in an allegorical manner to provide an additional layer of deniability or cover.
In order to determine what should be classified, don't there have to be some people who have a security clearance for everything? Doesn't this go against the idea of compartmentalization?
This is flat out disinformation.
The State department itself refuses to release 22 files because they are too sensitive
Mother Jones should go back to reviewing water pipes.
