An 8-year-old boy was detained after he was caught on video allegedly trying to rob a West Palm Beach store with a loaded gun, police said.
The incident happened Wednesday evening at the King Foods and Meat Bazaar and was caught on the store's surveillance camera, according to a report from WPTV.
Video showed the boy, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, approach the cashier and point a gun hidden underneath a sweater. He allegedly told the cashier "give me the f---ing money," the report said.
The clerk was able to take the gun from the boy and hold him until officers responded. The boy was hospitalized for his own well being, WPTV reported.
Authorities said the boy stole the gun from his mother. The state decided not to press charges but the boy must attend a diversion program and was ordered to stay away from the store.

.
I don’t think he was ‘ghetto’.
If he were, the statement would have been
‘gimme the m’f’ing money.
