Bush: Obama speaking at mosque is 'more than appropriate'
CNN ^

eb Bush said Thursday it was "more than appropriate" for President Barack Obama to speak at a mosque, a departure from several of his Republican rivals.
But, Bush argued, it took too long for Obama to make his first visit to a U.S. mosque as president.
"I don't think it's divisive to go speak in a mosque. I'm surprised it took his eighth year to do it," the former Florida governor told reporters after stopping at a diner here. "The bigger issue is what have you done to deal with ISIS. It's important to recognize that peace-loving Muslims who are American citizens are as American as you and I are, but at the same time, this President has been derelict in his duties to destroy the caliphate."

They know Islam is just fine because all their Saudi friends are very nice to them.

I don’t understand why this is important...
Is it really that big of a deal...?
At some point in history a POTUS would visit a Islamic Amory...

Sooo touchy. Because I want Obama to drop a few on the mooselimbs, now I’m a Cruz lover and a Trump hater? Give it a rest. Although I don’t applaud the frequent use of the F-bomb, there are times when it fits. Effoff

He tries to spin Obama going to the mosque with a generally
established talking point ( not tough on ISIS ) and just
screws it up. Cockeyed Junior strikes again.

Good point. Do you think the Secret Service knows this and
is keeping it from us or either, they didn’t check the place out
because they were ordered not to do so or, convinced he would be safe.
Obama has done a good job of getting his security detail busted abroad and there have been many openings filled.
I’m sure he had a hand in who filled them.

Does EVERY thread on FR have to turn into an anti-Trump one with you Cruz-cult people? It never fails. TDS rears its head within the first 15 comments on every thread.
Post an article on puppies and Trump kills puppies. Post an article on gardening, Trump hates vegetables.

“Tell us how itâs a âreligion of peaceâ Jeb.”
You know Jeb likes to call Trump “the Chaos Candidate”
Well I’d have to say it’s a lot better than being
“the Compromise Candidate”. Because if he gets on the
ballot then the choice is going to be the lying liberal
or the lying liberal who says he’s a republican.

Reagan was told to take Bush for his veep. He should have said “NO!”. It was the biggest mistake he ever made. And we’ve been screwed by Bushes ever since.

I hope this doesn’t offend you, but your comment has the sound of a Trump tweet. I LOL’D!!!
Well said anyway.

Only appropriate if he would of strapped on a suicide vest before walking in.
That would fulfill his promise of hope and change.

I think it’s in very poor taste for the President and W. to be saying how appropriate it is to be supporting a belief system which has no history in the US, is regularly killing Americans, and isn’t self policing their culture while pushing it on us.

He and Muslim Hussein should just burn the constitution and run for a third term for both Obama AND Dubya.
To: VerySadAmerican
how much better would Ford have been? Of course, he wouldn’t have given us Dubya, who in turn wouldn’t have given us Muslim Hussein Muhammed bin Osama bin Obama.
To: bobo1
nah, he wants to see his Presidential library built. It will be America’s biggest and most expensive mosque ever built.

2015-11-05 : Free Republic's Patton@Bastogne's Bold Political Predictions
(1) Yeb Bush will make a good political campaign decision "intelligently" REFUSE to exit the 2016 GOP Presidential Race until he is DEFEATED in the 2016 March 15 Florida Primary. Yeb Bush's political "ace in the hole" is the hopelessly corrupt Florida Republican Party ... the ones who redistricted the great Allen West out-of-office.
(2) Meanwhile ... Dr. Ben Carson will be polling "single digits" by Christmas 2015 ... at which point he'll endorse (suprise, surprise) Yeb Bush ...
(3) Marco "Amnesty" Rubio (lavishly funded by Yeb Bush's former donors) ... will place FOURTH in Iowa (abandoned by the Tea Party Evangelical Christians for being a greedy bad-faced liar) and FOURTH in the Florida Primary (in a "blood-sport" death-match with Yeb Bush)
4) Ted Cruz SHOCKS the "Washington Establishment Cartel" with a three-percent Florida victory over Donald Trump ...
===================================
Tonight (Thursday, 2015-11-05) it was revealed that Dr. Ben Carson supports Transgendered Bathrooms (political suicide for his Evangelical Christian base) ...
... and Dr. Ben Carson has "lied" about the names of guys he supposedly beat-up in high school
... which, when combined with the "ridiculous" Pyramid Theory statements, is beginning to make Herman Cain (2012) and John Edwards (2008) look like Einstein and Gen. George Patton Jr.
===================================
"Anything" can happen in a "New York Minute" in American politics.
Just ask Machiavelli, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Vince Foster, Gary Hart, Buddy Holly, U.S. Senators Hale Boggs, Ted Stevens, and Paul Wellstone, Herman Cain ...
and Napoleon at Waterloo (who was winning the battle, and Wellington admitting DEFEAT, as late as 5:00 PM in the afternoon).
===================================
Ninety-eight (98) GOP Convention delegates are at stake in Florida's "mas mucho rigged" state Presidential Primary (Winner take All).
That makes it more convenient for Yeb's GOPe Chamber of Commerce Political Whores (aka the Florida Republican Party) to hand Yeb 98 convention delegates on a silver platter.
Yeb Bush has absolutely NOTHING to lose by staying in the presidential race (anything can happen).
Is it a longshot ? Absolutely.
Has Karl Rove already planned for this scenario ? Absolutely.
Will Dr. Ben Carson endorse Yeb Bush when the good doctor is "finished" ? Absolutely.
As a romantic interest once told me ... "It's All About the Money" ... perfectly applicable to Yeb Bush, Ben Carson, and Karl Rove.

Praising a speech he never even heard. What a fool.I would be very surprised if Obama's speech did not stir up resentment over past or present, real or imagined grievances. It is how he operates as a community agitator.
