Trump opened the first casino strip club in Atlantic city, Scores.
I looked into this a little more, I was quite dubious of the claim of his ownership, this is what I gather from more than one article I read on the topic and subject.
Yes, there is a Scores in the Trump Taj Mahal. That is not at all in dispute.
From what I make of published accounts and interviews is that Scores Taj Mahal is not owned by Trump but is renting/leasing or perhaps revenue sharing with the property.
Does Trump have final say so if Scores can be on the property? I’m assuming yes since his name is on the building. The casino was scheduled to close December of 2014 but has not yet.
There’s nothing Trump could do but declare bankruptcy in Atlantic City. Pennsylvania legalizing gambling has pulled 40% of Atlantic City’s overall gaming revenue.
That’s beyond what any single operator can withstand. That’s what disgusts me most about the canard “Trump declared bankruptcy!” that candidates, pundits and posters love to bandy about without having an inkling of why.
