Oh my goodness, yes. Every song mentioned on this thread is Mozart compared to “Timothy.” From overwrought orchestration to really embarrassing lyrics, that song had EVERYTHING wrong with it.

Yep lyrics from the same guy who gave us the "Pina Colada" song.
Elsewhere on this thread, dfwgator tells me that the writer of that song.. one Rupert Holmes— went on to write “The Pina Colada” song...(awful, but for more pleasant, annoying reasons).
to which I said— “it figures” (meaning he had to improve) improving from human tartare to .... pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.
