The huge underperformance of Trump relative to the opinion polls has to be devastating to Trump’s supporters. Just realizing that the people backing your candidate in opinion polls can’t figure out how to vote must be shattering.
Many of the Trump supporters are low information democrats. You really shouldn’t expect anything out of them.
