People damn themselves to Hell. God gives them the free will to do so.
In fact, he died on the cross so they wouldn’t have to. But, you know all that. :-)
My point was that, as a man, you can try to convince God to condemn (or not condemn) another man, but the final "up or down" decision is God's, and God's alone.
