Because I am a firm believer of the “way of the warrior” that japan has been away from for so long. It is seen as primitive to most, but I like it.
Excellent choice.
“It is seen as primitive to most, but I like it.”
It’s primitive to most since it is based on honor ... something sorely lacking in today’s society. There isn’t any honor among thieves :-).
Welcome to Free Republic! Be sure to ignore all of the Cruz / Trump infighting unless you have some strong convictions surrounding one of those two candidates. That’ll subside after the primaries :-).
Ah that is what I thought it might refer to, hai Bushido!
The concepts of Honor, service, loyalty, social continuity and strength of belief are similar.
I believe those fundamental concepts form the core of what we call conservative philosophy everywhere.
Ah. Cool. A chance for a little 'real talk'.
It has been extremely disturbing to me to see the various races shed their proudest heritages. The Nords, a sturdy and deadly race -- reduced to kissing Islamic butt. The Germans -- perhaps the most efficient killers to ever walk the planet -- now cowed and meek before an invasion of their country. The British with their once-proud rule of every salt-water body on the planet. The Japanese with their Samurii code. Even the Americans, some of the most feared warriors in modern times.
It is as if testosterone has been removed from the cultural gene pool. I am a Refusnik, however, and my Russian and Roman heritage is angry and willing to battle this horrific demasculization, to the death.
