No I am not and I can see where you coming from although Cruz is proposing it as a business tax to be paid by the company and not as a consumption tax as the product comes to market.

But I think it's not the best way to pitch it despite the flat aspect to it. I think (hope) if he were to become president he would modify it be a simple flat tax. Right now he's riding Laffer’s endorsement on it from the growth aspect but the reality it the same can be accomplished if he simply defined it as a business tax and enforced it as such.
