For a man who is running to "make America great again," Donald Trump's tax plan is exceedingly expensive. According to an analysis by the Tax Foundation, Trump's plan would add trillions to the national debt, more than the current sum added after seven years of President Obama's policies (via Weekly Standard):
When Barack Obama took office, America's national debt was $10.6 trillion. It's now $19.0 trillion -- an increase of $8.4 trillion in just seven years, or $1.2 trillion per year. One of the key reasons the Tea Party movement was founded was out of frustration with this skyrocketing debt. Yet Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's proposed tax plan would increase the national debt by $10.1 trillion, according to scoring by the nonpartisan Tax Foundation.

You’re a well known clown.
I don’t answer to you about what I believe in.
Not if the entire business tax structure is eliminated which is what Cruz’ plan does. Then if you tax at the beginning or the end it wouldn’t matter because the tax is set on the product to be paid by the company. One time only.
Again, it’s a European concept and I don’t agree with the idea of it which is why I think (hope) he’ll modify it to flat if he gets in.
OTOH, you're not "known" here at all; however, you are now and what YOU are known as is not worth mentioning in mixed company.
Dude - don’t hurt your shoulder patting yourself on the back.
Second thought go ahead, no one else will do it.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....poor didums gots his diapers in a twist. Bless your heart.
Quit posting lying Soros crap, DU troll. Go back to stormfront.
“Bless your heart.”
I love those southern sayings!
So do I ! :-)
You should re-read Sen. Cruz's tax proposal. "The tax will be based on revenues minus expenses such as equipment, computers, and other business investments."
That means that the tax gets paid at each step of the way as a product gets manufactured and moved to its ultimate retail sale, since each business along way pays 16% of their revenues minus their expenses to other businesses.
There is no cap, or minimum, so every self employed person providing a service would be paying 16% of their income on every dollar they earn. Once they get past the personal exemption they are paying at 26%. For many lower income self employed people they will actually pay more in taxes than they do now.
Like I said - clown
Please do keep posting; the more you post, the morfe foolish you look. LOL
Truth to Trumpers is like sunlight to a vampire.
As you noted below, VATs are applied at every level of production or sales between different companies before we as end users get the total in our end when we purchase the final product like gasoline.
VATs are a progressive liberals wet dreams and real conservatives says hell no!
Below is your real world description of a VAT.
