I see this thread went over your head.

Not quite. It went in several directions, up wasn’t one of them
See post #52
I’d be devastated. I’d be more devastated if he won the nomination. It would be like a death to me. It would mark the end of my decades of participation in conservative politics.
If the Republican voters want to go scorched earth, I’ll give them scorched earth. I’ll take my own parting shot as I leave the political arena by casting my first vote for a Democrat. Then I’ll shake the dust off my feet and move along. And if Trump should win the presidency, I’ll never pass up the opportunity to say, “I told you so” when the true Donald J. Trump begins to rule over his subjects and they realize what they’ve done.
Mark my word. Trump supporters will rue the day he entered the political arena and they got sucked into his whirlwind.

BWAHAHAHA! It's a hoot to watch as you attempt to give me a big ol' smackdown! You are very entertaining, my FReeper FRiend.
BTW, considering the accuracy of your "hunches," I'd recommend that you refrain from buying lottery tickets -- unless you just enjoy making contributions to your state coffers.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I have been pissed at Republicans before (2008 and 2012) and considered voting 3rd party.
I never said I would vote democrat. I never thought it, never said it, never posted it.
You are different.
You said you would vote democrat.
All your capital letters aside, you are a democrat.
I’ve been PO’d at the Republican party since the early 90s, and I wasn’t that excited about first voting for Bush 41 in ‘88. I got a little excited about Bush 43 at first because he looked like he would be more of a Ronald Reagan than a GHWB. Turns out I was wrong.
I have waited and waited and waited for the Republican party to produce a candidate I can get excited about — one with a record of solid, constitutional conservatism. Each time they disappointed.
After Romney’s loss in ‘12, I decided I’d had it with voting for candidates that were shoved down my throat and vowed I wouldn’t vote if the establishment pushed another squishy Republican in my face. The good news is that it doesn’t look like the GOPe is going to be able to do that this time. The bad news is, portions of the Republican base + disenfranchised Dems + some odds and ends of people who don’t really get politically involved but who are enamored with reality TV have decided that a Northeastern businessman PROGRESSIVE is the best representative of the Republican party. Well, guess what? I’m out!
I’m not a Republican, rather a constitutional conservative. I kept believing that that philosophy had the best chance of coming to fruition in the Republican party, so I’ve stayed with it. For sure it’s not going to happen in the Democrat party.
If you are having a hard time understanding my parting shot* and needing to chalk it up to my being a Dem, have at it. The down-ballot conservatives for whom I will be voting would have a good chuckle at your reasoning skills.
*Think of it as a 1-finger salute to the candidate and to all who made his nomination possible. If it doesn’t happen (please, God, please), then this is all moot. BTW, what candidate would you absolutely not vote for if Trump flamed out and another person was picked as the nominee?
I’m not a Republican, rather a constitutional conservative.
Sorry, I find you somewhat unhinged.
You didn’t answer my question.
BTW, what candidate would you absolutely not vote for if Trump flamed out and another person was picked as the nominee?
Definitely Yeb. I will vote 3rd party if he gets the nomination.
There are some others that might qualify, but I would wait and see before saying.
But definitely Yeb.
Real “conservatives” in your opinion, are they?
The fact that Cruz held dual USA/Canadian citizenship until 2014 doesn't matter at all to “your” interpretation of the Constitution.
I don't consider that opinion particularly conservative.
As for the select list of litmus/polling tests you think I need to address to your satisfaction, in order not to be a “hypocrite”, well...there you go again...as someone you claim to revere, said multiple times.
I'm supporting Trump because I am done with the lying liars of both political parties.
The uni-party of the political class of NWO globalists have played their games for far too long.
If you are unable to comprehend that Trump is our last best chance to use the ballot box, that's on you.
I'm game for the next step. Are you?
Bump with my original question. We’re a good 10 minutes into the debate. Trump should be winning a useless (except for the click-bait value) poll on Drudge by now. The world is about to rotate off its axis!
MY FAVORITE QUOTE:
“A President Trump would be the best thing, not only for America, but for the entire world.
Proud, confident, bold, patriotic, outspoken, self-reliant, mega-successful, charitable, a force of nature; Donald Trump is American EXCEPTIONALISM on steroids.”

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

I fully expect a Trump follower to insist that Trump reflects Jesus in the way he comports himself. I do realize that we didn't watch a church service tonight, but anyone with spiritual discernment could see that Trump was the least like Jesus (Whose Name he claims) on tonight's stage. Furthermore, someone in the clergy who's kissing up to him needs to help him understand that he cannot be a Christian without seeking God's forgiveness -- something he has told us that he hasn't done. In fact, he said that when he makes mistakes, he fixes those mistakes himself. Just WOW! He really is something if he can conjure up his own righteousness!
No, my fellow FReeper. I feel safe in saying that Mr. Trump is not (yet) a Christian. But that's not the thing that's so distasteful about him. It's the fact that he pretends to be one to gain political favor. It's entirely possible that he's so pathological, he doesn't know the difference between lies and truth concerning his relationship with the Lord, in which case, he's to be pitied and prayed for but surely not voted into the presidency.
This is like a bad nightmare you can never wake up from. I'm absolutely astonished that there are only a few of us who can see his deception.
Your Scriptural reference is misapplied:
Last night Trump is right again! Rubo & Cruz proved last night PROVED THEY are just thugs willing to carry water for their controlling ‘owners.’
IF ONLY RUBIO & CRUZ HAD NOT SOLD THEIR SOUL!
You lack discernment.
Back at you :D
