If your job is making fun of politicians and other political figures you run the risk of appearing smug or smarmy or arrogant or condescending.

Who does that and hasn't been called names like that by somebody or other? Stewart, Colbert, Maher -- all liberals, I know, but liberals say something similar about Rush Limbaugh.

And if you're always giving opinions or telling jokes on TV, they can't all be gems. Sometimes they'll backfire or you'll make a fool of yourself or you'll go on too long with a memorized speech (something Greg does a lot).

But just to have a conservative satirist on television is something we didn't have for a long time.
