Just going by its power (2.2 x 10^38 watts) vs. the sun's (3.8 x 10^26 watts) it would be as bright as the sun if it was 12 light years away. At about 7600 light years it would be as bright as the full moon.
I would guess that around 1% increase in total light would start making things uncomfortable. That would be at 120 light years.
And 9x brighter than the Sun at Alpha Centauri’s distance.
