Thanks for the ping. I’ve been reading a few appreciations in the last couple days from people who knew him, some of whom I know from from my years at Lunacon (and working on the committee).
I can’t say for sure that I’ve interacted with Hartwell, but I’m pretty sure I’ve met him, even if I didn’t know at the time who he was. Great thing about Lunacon, I’ve been in many conversations with people, only to later find out who they were.
He was definitely one of the modern greats, and he left a hell of a legacy.
