Ted is very smart...just not too bright. You cut deals wherein you win and they lose.
A refusal to cut deals leaves a stalemate wherein there is no progress.

Cruz’s pitches are getting increasingly stupid. He’s basically setting himself up to have a position where he refuses to attempt to work any bill through congress, since he won’t “negotiate” in any way. Though he was plenty happy to negotiate over legalization in the past.

It's worked for Obama. Just undoing his Exec Orders would be serious progress. Let the McConnells and Ryans earn the right to be "dealt" with.

I'm a Cruz supporter, and I expect Trump to undo some of Obama's stuff, just not ALL of it, like Cruz would. Trump would also come up with a few EOs of his own.

Trump would have a majority in the house and senate he wouldn’t need to cut deals with democrats to advance a republican agenda he would only need to cut deals with the republican majority if his objective is to advance the democrat agenda.

Trump has done well making deals for Trump, but there is ZERO evidence he knows how to make deals for the country. So far, his crowning policy is a Huge win for Democrats since he will bring back millions of new Democrat voters with his Touch Back Amnesty plan.
