Brian Williams?
That is definitely a puzzle.
Grail hunting time!
“The other is said to head straight to Rosslyn Chapel only a few miles away.
With the revelation of secret passageways - or escape routes - theories topple over each other like dominoes. Into the already heady mix of masons, witches and Covenanters comes more fanciful notions. Echoing around the caves is a distant whisper of a deep and hidden mystery. It is said that the Knights Templar - those fighting Crusader monks - used this place for assignations, entering secretly through the tunnels that run back to Rosslyn.
And as everyone knows by now, the Templars didn’t just bring fighting talent when they came out of the East, but something else. Which leads to one final question about Gilmerton.
Could this neglected, half-forgotten cave be the true resting place of the Holy Grail?”
Hmmmm...curiouser and curiouser...
Captain Jack Harkness.
I thought this was all created when the city raised street levels as part of a road improvement mega-project.
From the article:
So, even though there is nothing to suggest that Paterson excavated the structure, he definitely did own it. Maybe he merely enlarged upon an already existing structure? This might make more sense. But if so, what is it? During excavations in the late 1970s, a draining channel was discovered that runs along the right-hand side of the main passageway. In 2002, a secret blocked doorway was found in one room. So far, there have been strict orders not to excavate, as just beyond, is a street and no-one wants to see the road surface collapse.
The only thing holding up the road is a blocked doorway?
Zahi Hawass anyone?
I been there. Bloody Enigmatic Scots Git.
“Bring out the cold chicken and pickles!”
the guy was the precursor to a Mother Earther. Mother Earth News was big on underground or dug into hill side dwellings.
When in the ground, the living quarters were cool in summer and relatively warm in winter. That is, such spaces required less additional heat to raise the temperature to a winter comfort level
The skylights of course provided natural illumination in Daylight hours
Neat. Found this from the BBC from 2012:

Found this short video (under 10 minutes) about it on You Tube:

Clear as day this series of underground passageways is connected somehow to Oak Island. TaDa!
